Rachel offers art classes and workshops in a variety of art media including watercolor, acrylic, oil painting, water-marbling, linocut, and more. If you don't see a class on the calendar, send us a message and we may be able to set one up. Watercolor Class: Painting a Seahorse

Monday, August 17, 2026, 6:30pm - 9:00pm

Location: Greenville Bible Church Fellowship Hall, 8315 Roy Warren Pkwy, Greenville, TX 75402

Explore creative watercolor techniques and learn to paint a seahorse in this art class taught by Rachel Ingram. In this class you will learn water and brush control, wet-into-wet painting techniques, alcohol-drop effects, how to use a photo reference, color mixing, and more. Each student will go home with their own finished 9x12 inch watercolor painting.

All supplies are included. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the door. The last day to purchase tickets and reserve your spot is 8/16. No refunds unless the event is canceled by the instructor.

Painting in the Negative: Creative acrylic painting workshop

Tuesday, August 25, 2026, 6:30pm - 9:30pm

In this creative acrylic painting workshop, participants will learn how to use color, texture, and negative space to create their own unique composition on a 12x12 canvas. This class is suitable for artists of any skill level and is recommended for ages 12 and up.

Back by popular demand! Several students who took this class last time wanted to take it again, so the curriculum has been improved based on student feedback. The new class will include more stencil options, more paint colors, and some pre-made composition templates for those that want a little assistance in designing their layout.

Tickets are $35 per person and all supplies are included. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the door. The last day to purchase tickets and reserve your spot is 8/24. No refunds unless the event is canceled by the instructor.

Watercolor Class

In this class, professional artist Rachel Ingram will lead participants in step-by-step instructions on how to paint in watercolor. Students will learn wet-into-wet painting techniques, color mixing techniques, and more. This class is perfect for beginners and is recommended for ages 12 and up. All supplies are included. More details about the project will be provided soon.

This class is made possible in partnership with Greenville Art League. Tickets are $20 for Greenville Art League members or $25 for non-members. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the door. The last day to purchase tickets and reserve your spot is 8/30. No refunds unless the event is canceled by the instructor.

Examples of Classes We Offer

Water Marbling Workshops

Water-marbling, also called ebru, is an ancient art that dates back to the 16th century. This art is created by floating paint onto a thickened water, then swirling the paint to create different designs. Once the design is complete, the image is printed onto a silk scarf for a wearable work of art, or printed on paper which can be used for decorating or scrapbooking.

This activity is great for all ages and skill levels. Even if you don't have artistic talent, you can easily create a beautiful water-marbled masterpiece.

Watercolor Classes

We offer watercolor classes for children and adults from beginners to advanced students. Beginner watercolor classes teach the basics such as how to properly load your brush, wet-into-wet techniques, proper water control, color mixing, and more.
