Rachel offers art classes and workshops in a variety of art media including watercolor, acrylic, oil painting, water-marbling, linocut, and more. If you don't see a class on the calendar, send us a message and we may be able to set one up. Painting Flowers in Watercolor 

Tuesday, June 30, 2026, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Explore creative watercolor techniques and learn to paint a delicate dog rose in this art class taught by Rachel Ingram. Perfect for beginners and intermediate painters, this session focuses on capturing the delicate details of flower petals and leaves. In this class you will learn water and brush control, wet-into-wet painting techniques, color mixing, and more. Each student will go home with their own finished 9x12 inch watercolor painting.
All supplies are included. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

Painting in the Negative: Creative acrylic painting workshop

Tuesday, July 14, 2026, 6:00pm - 9:00pm

In this creative acrylic painting workshop participants will learn how to use negative space to create their own unique composition on a 12x12 canvas. This class is suitable for artists of any skill level. All supplies are included. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
Tickets are $30 for Greenville Art League members or $35 for non-members. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the door. The last day to purchase tickets and reserve your spot is 7/13. No refunds unless the event is canceled by the instructor.

Examples of Classes We Offer

Water Marbling Workshops

Water-marbling, also called ebru, is an ancient art that dates back to the 16th century. This art is created by floating paint onto a thickened water, then swirling the paint to create different designs. Once the design is complete, the image is printed onto a silk scarf for a wearable work of art, or printed on paper which can be used for decorating or scrapbooking.

This activity is great for all ages and skill levels. Even if you don't have artistic talent, you can easily create a beautiful water-marbled masterpiece.

Watercolor Classes

We offer watercolor classes for children and adults from beginners to advanced students. Beginner watercolor classes teach the basics such as how to properly load your brush, wet-into-wet techniques, proper water control, color mixing, and more.
